With the theme “Worth Its Weight in Gold: The History of Chocolate” the sixth annual Big Island Chocolate Festival is April 28-29 with events headquartered at the Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel. Fun starts with a plantation tour at Original Hawaiian Chocolate in Keauhou and continues with ag seminars, culinary demos, college competition and a decadent gala. General admission tickets to the gala are $79 presale and $100 at the door. Special room/ticket packages are available. This event benefits local non-profits, and promotes the emerging, local cacao industry. For more info, visit www.BigIslandChocolateFestival.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
About the owner: my name is Mark Dahmke. I've been a frequent visitor to Kona for 30 years and finally realized my dream of having a place of my own in the islands. Sea Village is great because it's centrally located to shops and restaurants and you're only 2 miles from Magic Sands Beach. My condo is right on the ocean and the view is spectacular!
